Biography
He was born on January 5, 1971 in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. Adopted daughter of the municipality of Carolina for more than twenty years. Married, mother of four daughters and grandmother of four grandchildren.
Educated in the public school system. Veteran of the United States Army, where she served for fourteen years. She holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences with a minor in Criminal Justice, a minor in Accounting, and a Master of Arts in Human Resources and Accounting. Her career position is as an Accountant at the University of Puerto Rico and she is also a university professor.
Founder of the non-profit organization “Breaking Barriers, Achieving Blessing.” Its purpose is to collaborate against domestic violence.
In 2016, she decided to run for Representative for District 38, and was elected in the primary as the official candidate for the New Progressive Party for the election, in which she was unsuccessful. In 2017, she was appointed Regional Director of the Department of Housing in Carolina. In 2020, she ran again for Representative, winning the primary and being elected to that position for the aforementioned district, which includes the municipalities of Carolina, Trujillo Alto, and Canóvanas.
She currently serves on the Committees on Women’s Affairs, Housing and Urban Development, and Education, Arts, and Culture.
Among his hobbies are serving, sharing with family and worshipping God. Animal lover and faithful defender of women.
