The Committee on Banking, Insurance, and Commerce shall have jurisdiction over the banking industry, the analysis of all legislation concerning banking matters, lending, investment, and financial institutions—whether local, federal, or international—as well as all matters related to insurance, including the Insurance Code, except for matters related to savings and credit cooperatives. In addition, it shall have jurisdiction over all matters, studies, investigations, and situations related to commerce in general, and over any matter delegated to it by the House of Representatives of Puerto Rico or its President.
