Small and Medium-Sized Businesses

The Small and Medium-Sized Businesses Commission shall have jurisdiction over all matters related to programs, plans, and strategic projects aimed at the economic and financial development and promotion of small and medium-sized businesses; it shall conduct studies and research and recommend the approval of measures that support the promotion and advancement of small and medium-sized enterprises, including the provision of technical assistance and training; the commercial exchange of small and medium-sized businesses; local marketing and competition; incentives and financing for small and medium-sized businesses; local, interstate, or international trade and competition involving small and medium-sized businesses; it shall review matters related to government permitting and how it affects industry and commerce concerning small and medium-sized businesses; it shall conduct studies and research and recommend the approval of measures that promote and develop small and medium-sized business commerce; and over any matter delegated to it by the House of Representatives of Puerto Rico or its President.
