Yashira Lebrón Rodríguez

Biography

Yashira M. Lebrón Rodríguez was born on July 24, 1981, in the city of Bayamón. She began her educational journey in Puerto Rico’s public school system, attending Diego de Torres Vargas and Jesús Sánchez Erazo schools. She graduated from the twelfth grade at Agustín Sthal High School, in her hometown known as the “City of Chicharrón.”

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences, with a concentration in Political Science from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. She also earned a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from the Interamerican University, Metropolitan Campus.

Her passion is to serve, so her professional career has been focused on that aspect. She has served as Director of the Government Commission of the Senate of Puerto Rico. She was also the Assistant Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Legislature of Guaynabo. Her work and attention to detail propelled her to become Vice President of the Municipal Legislature of Bayamón.

Lebrón Rodríguez was sworn in on October 23, 2014, as Representative for District 8 of Bayamón, becoming the first woman to hold that position. She was re-elected to her seat in the House of Representatives of Puerto Rico during the 2016 and 2020 general elections.

Among the laws she authored and that were approved are Law No. 129 of August 16, 2020, better known as the ‘New Condominium Law of Puerto Rico’; Law 8-2018, the ‘Access Control Law of 1987’; Law 116-2017, which empowers the Secretary of the Department of Consumer Affairs to create a conflict mediation program; and Law 9-2018, which prohibits any business from calculating a tip to be voluntarily given by a customer based on the total transaction price including Sales and Use Tax, among others.

On November 5, 2024, she was elected Representative for District Number 8. In January 2025, she was selected by her peers as Vice President of the House of Representatives.

    Adriana Gutiérrez Colón

    Biography

    Adriana Gutiérrez Colón was born on June 5, 1989 in San Juan as the youngest of 4 siblings.

    Gutiérrez Colón earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History of the Americas from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. She subsequently earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico School of Law while working as a waitress. She also participated in the Human Rights Clinic at the Interamerican University. She subsequently studied at the Autonomous University of Chiapas School of Law in Mexico.

    The office of Senator María de Lourdes Santiago Negrón served as her first contact with legislative work, and eventually, from 2017 to 2024, she was recruited as a legislative advisor to Representative Denis Márquez Lebrón. Upon her arrival, Márquez Lebrón entrusted her with the important and comprehensive task of translating into a bill the PIP’s historic proposal for the establishment of a universal healthcare system in Puerto Rico, as well as a number of legislative measures on key issues such as the environment, gender violence, social and labor justice, among others.

    Since 2021, Gutiérrez Colón has headed the PIP’s Secretariat of Women and Gender Affairs, and after the 2024 elections, the electoral stage was set for her entry into the Legislature as a Representative at Large.

    Elinette González Aguayo

    Biography

    Elinette González Aguayo was born on August 27, 1973, in the municipality of San Juan. However, much of her childhood, educational development, and professional career took place in her beloved municipality of Dorado, where she resides.

    From early in her education, she developed a strong sense of public service, particularly in the areas of accounting and administration, a passion that has shaped her academic and professional career.

    A product of the public schools in the municipality of Dorado, González Aguayo completed her secondary studies at the Bayamón Technological University College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting. She earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration, with a specialization in Project Management, from the Ana G. Méndez University System.

    She is recognized for her emphasis on organization, resource allocation, and budget management—skills she has applied throughout her professional career.

    Focused on her vocation to serve others, she entered public service working in the Senate of Puerto Rico, where she held various positions, including in the Office of the President of that Legislative Body and as Services Coordinator at the Capitol Superintendency. She also worked in the Accounting Division of the Department of Economic Development and Commerce, the Citizen Service Office attached to the Governor’s Office, and the Budget Office of the Administration for Child Support.

    Additionally, she has experience in the private sector, standing out as Operations Director, as well as Interim Director, of the Jane Stern Community Library in Dorado, and also as an Administrative Assistant in a law firm.

    On November 5, 2024, she was elected Representative for District Number 11, which includes the municipalities of Dorado, Vega Alta, and Vega Baja. She was appointed to chair the Natural Resources Commission.

    Odalys González González

    Lilibeth ‘Lilly’ Rosas

    Biography

    Lilibeth “Lilly” Rosas Vargas was elected Representative of District 19 of Mayagüez and San Germán to the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, for the Popular Democratic Party (PPD), in the 2024 general elections.

    He is the PPD spokesperson on the following chamber committees: the Cooperativism Committee, the Western Region Committee, and the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) Committee.

    Born in Mayagüez, she is married to former District 19 Representative and former Judge Efraín De Jesús, and is the mother of Valeria Cristina and Armando Enrique. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a Master’s degree in Human Resources, and several professional certifications in Career Coaching and Conflict Mediation.

    Lilly Rosas has an extensive career spanning more than 25 years in public service, serving in various roles within the Department of Labor and Human Resources (Right to Work Administration, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (PROSHA), Anti-Discrimination Unit) and the Department of Economic Development and Commerce (Workforce Development Program).

    She is actively visiting communities and public and private entities in her district to address their needs.

    Omayra M. Martínez Vázquez

    Biography

    Omayra Milagros Martínez Vázquez was born on November 17, 1977, in the municipality of Mayagüez and grew up between the municipalities of Sabana Grande and Maricao. Thanks to her education in the public school system, she has stood out for her analytical ability and problem-solving skills.

    Her love for science and the environment led her to study a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Biology at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, San Germán Campus, where she graduated with Cum Laude honors. This same dedication allowed her to earn a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Criminal Justice from the Ana G. Méndez University System, where she received the highest academic distinction, Summa Cum Laude.

    Professionally, Martínez Vázquez has served in recent years as Regional Supervisor for the Aguadilla Region in the Housing Choice Voucher Program, better known as Section 8. Additionally, she has extensive experience in the private sector, having worked for over 10 years in the area of financial institutions, such as banks and credit unions.

    Her work for the well-being of communities in the southwest area has stood out throughout her public service career, where she served as Municipal Legislator for the Municipality of Sabana Grande from 2013 to 2024.

    On November 5, 2024, she was elected as Representative for District Number 21, which includes the municipalities of Guánica, Las Marías, Lajas, Maricao, Sabana Grande, and Yauco. She was appointed to chair the Housing and Urban Development Commission.

    Wanda del Valle Correa

    Biography

    He was born on January 5, 1971 in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. Adopted daughter of the municipality of Carolina for more than twenty years. Married, mother of four daughters and grandmother of four grandchildren.

    Educated in the public school system. Veteran of the United States Army, where she served for fourteen years. She holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences with a minor in Criminal Justice, a minor in Accounting, and a Master of Arts in Human Resources and Accounting. Her career position is as an Accountant at the University of Puerto Rico and she is also a university professor.

    Founder of the non-profit organization “Breaking Barriers, Achieving Blessing.” Its purpose is to collaborate against domestic violence.

    In 2016, she decided to run for Representative for District 38, and was elected in the primary as the official candidate for the New Progressive Party for the election, in which she was unsuccessful. In 2017, she was appointed Regional Director of the Department of Housing in Carolina. In 2020, she ran again for Representative, winning the primary and being elected to that position for the aforementioned district, which includes the municipalities of Carolina, Trujillo Alto, and Canóvanas.

    She currently serves on the Committees on Women’s Affairs, Housing and Urban Development, and Education, Arts, and Culture.

    Among his hobbies are serving, sharing with family and worshipping God. Animal lover and faithful defender of women.

      Tatiana Pérez Ramírez

      Biography

      Tatiana Pérez Ramírez was born on May 21, 1988, in New York City, to a diverse family, with a Puerto Rican father and a Colombian mother. However, her home has always been the El Cibao neighborhood in the municipality of Camuy.

      From an early age, she stood out for her values, education, and desire to work hard for her family and the community where she grew up. She completed her academic training in the island’s public schools and joined the workforce at a young age with the goal of financing her university studies.

      She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, Arecibo Campus. She completed her Master’s degree, with high honors, in Educational Management and Leadership from the same university institution. Her passion for education earned her the prestigious Rector’s Medal in recognition of her hard work and academic excellence.

      Throughout her professional career, she has worked on various platforms, both in the private and public sectors. She worked with distinction in the restaurant and supermarket sector. But her passion is helping others, so she decided to enter public service, first working as a teacher in the Department of Education, where she took her first steps, and then serving as a Municipal Legislator in her beloved Camuy, where she was always attentive to the educational, security, and infrastructure needs of the communities she served.

      Pérez Ramírez has focused on assisting communities, especially after the devastating impact of Hurricanes Irma and Maria in September 2017, listening to and helping those who lost everything rebuild emotionally. Motivated by a deep commitment to the needs of communities and families in Puerto Rico, she decided to seek elected office.

      On November 5, 2024, she was elected Representative at Large. She was appointed to chair the Education Commission.
