Agriculture

The Agriculture Commission shall have jurisdiction over all matters related to proposed legislative measures and comprehensive reforms that address the needs and promote the improved development of Puerto Rico’s agricultural industry, for the purposes of defining, implementing, administering, supervising, and establishing public policy; the regulation, supervision, and inspection of agricultural activities and products; agricultural mechanization; the marketing and distribution of agricultural products, capital, and agricultural credit; educational services in agricultural techniques for the improved economic exploitation of agriculture; conservation, recovery, and utilization of agricultural lands; agricultural experimentation and research; agriculture in general; and any matter delegated to it by the House of Representatives of Puerto Rico or its President.
