Housing and Urban Development

The Housing and Urban Development Commission shall have jurisdiction over all matters related to the formulation and adoption of measures aimed at implementing public policy that fosters healthy conditions and a conducive living environment for the residents of our communities; the planning and proper use of land in the development and construction of housing, its related infrastructure, and neighborhood amenities; the promotion of better conditions and alternatives for the development of rural and urban housing; horizontal property; the Construction Code; the promotion of alternatives to improve the quality of life for the most marginalized communities, as well as public and private housing developments; land invasions; federal and state housing programs; and any matter delegated to it by the House of Representatives of Puerto Rico or its President.
